VonHaus Study Desk – Review

Following on from our review of the VonHaus TV Bracket and Floating Shelf. We are moving on the final section of Lewis’s bedroom makeover in preparation for him starting secondary school, his desk. For this, we were provided with the VonHaus Study Desk.

Lewis needed a small study desk, as we didn’t have much space left in his room, with this desk measuring in at L106 x D60 x H92cm it seemed ideal. Perfect for a student to sit in their home or dormitory for studying.

Everything required was provided in the box. Tools we needed to provide were a screwdriver and a hammer.

With simple to follow instructions, it took Sam about 20 minutes to construct this desk. Firstly building the top part of the desk with this very appealing ash wood effect veneer.

Then moving on to the legs, these are made from strong metal, coloured white. Keeping it just as appealing as the top of the desk. The legs are strong and sturdy enough to hold your desktop weight.

All set together and you have this.

We now have the perfect set up for Lewis’s studying needs when in Secondary School. He’ll be in his bedroom, out of the way of distraction and even with his PC in situ, there is still plenty of space on his desk for working in books too. This really does seem to be the perfect study desk for students or working desk for adults.

The cubby holes in the desk are perfect for storing small desk items whilst also keeping the desk looking appealing and stylish.

Also, the price of the desk is nothing to hide away from either, priced at £49.99 its a perfect desk if you are on a budget or living a student life.

My only slight quibble with the desk is its lack of holes at the back of the desk for trailing wires through. Currently, we have to put the cables for his PC wires over the sidewall of the desk. But in the near future, we intend to create some holes in the back wall of the desk, feed the wires through and use cable tidies to neaten it all up.
