So Slime DIY Slime Shakers : Review

**Gifted Review

Recently we have been testing out this fantastic So Slime DIY Slime Shakers set from Canal Toys. Slime is a big thing in our house, Leah enjoys playing with it despite her sensory issues causing a bit of a conflict. But what she enjoys most is learning how to make it so she can understand what’s involved in making it. Thankfully with these Slime Shaker sets kids can be involved in making slime, decorating it and then playing with it too.

Slime Shakers 3-pack

We were provided with a 3 pack of slime shakers from the Slime Glam collection. There are 2 sets to choose from, Beauty or Parfum and we received the parfum set. Each set contains themed shakers which when created smell and look wonderful.

The sets contain;

  • 3 Shakers
  • 3 Scented Slime powders
  • 3 Bags of decoration
3 slime shakers with their corresponding powders and decorations.

Creating the slime couldn’t be simpler. Following the included instructions Leah was able to create her slime with absolute ease. She started by emptying the slime powder into the container, filling the container then with water up to the maximum line. From there she gave the slime creation a stir and finished it off with a good shake (ensuring the lid was firmly on the pot top).

With the slime mixed, shook and aerated for a couple of minutes it was ready to play with. Leah began by adding her decorations to the mixture.

And then finished off by playing with her creation.

Our Verdict

Leah absolutely loves the So Slime DIY Slime Shakers, the instructions were very easy to follow for a child to make and create their own slime. As a parent, there was no mess created. The only hazard I see being if the child doesn’t secure the lid well enough prior to shaking their slime creation, it could potentially make a mess then. But other than that it is a very good kit and has certainly kept Leah busy.

I must also mention the smell formed from the creation of these slimes. Being from the parfum collection you would expect not only the pots to resemble perfume bottles but it’s nice to witness the creation of a wonderful scent when making the slime too. The scents coming off from the slime was wonderful and our dining room soon smelt wonderful.
