Perfect Ways To Relax This Autumn
**This is a collaborative post
It’s no secret that I am a massive fan of Autumn, it’s the perfect cool down from the heat of Summer, the colours of the land change, we get some amazing sunsets and it feels much more relaxing and comfortable.
Even a recent poll of mine on Twitter found most of my social media followers are big fans of Autumn too.
Twitter, answer me this question, please. What’s your favourite season of the year?

What’s the perfect way to relax this Autumn.
Obviously most of this comes down to personal preference, but here are some of my favourite ways to relax.
Get Active
Ok, this is the complete opposite of “relaxing” but exercise releases mood-boosting endorphins which help to lower anxiety and increase mental wellbeing. As well as having a great effect on your mood and stress levels, exercise is also good for taking your mind off problems and helping to induce sleep.
Exercise doesn’t even need to be strenuous either, just a lovely evening walk whilst enjoying the Autumnal sunsets could be more than enough.

Read a Good Book
I love a good book, and I’m much happier when the evenings get colder and darker to sit under a lamp in the warmth and snuggle down on my high back sofa with a good read. You can feel yourself slip away from the chaos of your own day-to-day life for a while and slip into another life.
A Hot Bubble Bath
Warm water has a calming effect on the mind and soul. Slip away into a nice warm bathtub, light some candles, listen to some of your favourite relaxing music and soak your body in your favourite bath soak. Finish your relaxing bathing routine with a top-to-toe moisturise.
Wearing Autumnal Clothing
Oh, this is such an important one! Following fashion trends, or just clothing practical for the season but its time to dig out those Autumn/Winter knits! Just remember in Autumn that the mornings are always a lot cooler than the afternoons so try to dress comfortably for the day.
Disconnect
Sometimes just having some time away from technology, smart technology and social media is revitalising. Avoid the day-to-day distractions of the 21st century and save some time for yourself.
