The Restored – That Feels Better Campaign
We all know how important it is to lead a balanced lifestyle, but what does a balanced lifestyle mean exactly? I’ve teamed up with The Restored to introduce to you their new That Feels Better campaign to share with you a simple yet effective way to lead a more balanced life.
The Restored is a new health start-up, they are passionate about combining simple products and practical guidance to help you feel better about yourself.
The Restored will be launching in August 2019 and from now until then I am going to be introducing this concept with you. I am even going to take the Feel Better Challenge for myself, make improvements to my health and lifestyle by focusing on the 4 foundations of Sleep, Nutrition, Movement and Mindset
Improving your health needn’t be difficult, its all about focusing on the right things and this is where I think The Restored’s foundations of health will give enough support.
To get each foundation to work well together you need to be aware of how your body is working, for example, your body won’t lose weight after a rigorous gym workout when you are eating poorly and sleeping badly. Nor will digesting lots of green smoothies aid your poor mobility and a bad back.
With each foundation grounded you will noticeably feel better. It’s not expected of you to focus on all 4 foundations at the same time, but first of all, try to establish which foundation you feel you need to focus on most before moving onto the next one.
If you look at the diagram above and think “yes I have 2-3 solid foundations” then that’s brilliant, work on the others. But, if you’re more like me and you think “I actually only have 1 semi-solid foundation” then don’t worry! The Restored have developed this fantastic Health Quiz. Simply pop in some details, answer a couple of questions and it will give you a prompt of which foundation to work on first.
Having sat and read more about The Restored before completing the Health Quiz I had an idea what my results would be. Nutrition. I am a sucker for food, it’s my weakness, and I crave all the naughties and eat a limited amount of fruit and veg. As a result, I suffer from anxiety, low self-esteem, brain-fog and am marginally overweight. I have always linked this to my mindset through my poor diet, now its been pretty much confirmed. But from reading the nutrition section of my results, I can make simple changes which will have a significant boost.
Changes that have been recommended are;
- A good intake of Essential Nutrients: Your body needs around 17 different nutrients a day to maintain good health.
- Hydration: Ensuring to drink at least 2 litres of water a day (something I am terrible at!). Tips included are, ensuring I refill my water bottle when it’s empty, don’t let it sit empty for ages and if plain water isn’t enjoyable put some lemon in my bottle for flavoured water.
- Eat More Vegetables; Aim to eat 5 portions a day. Tips included are; adding spinach to a smoothie, enjoying vegetarian chilli or soup so I can pack more vegetables in it!
There’s another section based on veg-spiration. I’m going to set myself a challenge to eat as many colours as possible, eat the rainbow and pretend they are skittles!
Keeping with the 4 foundations, the other 3 foundations are Sleep, Movement and Mindset. Here is a little more detail about that is recommended for each of these.
We all know how a lack of sleep isn’t good for our mindset, you feel groggy, tired, unable to think right and much more.
Did you know; if it takes you less than 7 minutes to fall asleep at night you are sleep deprived.
After a good nights sleep, you are more likely to feel energized, be able to focus for longer, have better concentration and feel a reduction in anxiety.
To help you achieve a better sleep pattern you will be invited to join a FREE Dr-Approved Online Sleep Course.
I think it’s a known fact that movement is important for any human being. But when aches and pains kick in, it tends to stop us from moving around quite as much. This is when it’s important to beat those aches and pains, move more to strengthen your core to prevent the pain. Unless medically advised not to, move, we just weren’t designed for sitting.
If movement is one of your foundations you need to focus on there is a 3 step plan to help you get moving more. There is also an added exercise video to help you too. After a couple of weeks of following these steps, you will notice the difference.
Last but not least, we arrive at the Mindset. I truly believe with the other 3 foundations covered we arrive at this final foundation, Mindset. With your other changes complete the mindset will just slip into place. You will feel rejuvenated and you will feel so much better about yourself. The final piece of the foundation jigsaw.
From August 2019, The Restored will also be launching a range of supporting health products. These include supplements, equipment and supporting content.
If you are looking for a simple yet effective way to work with your body, make some simple yet drastic changes then I feel you should take a look at The Restored. Best of all, all the advise is free of charge and the only part you pay for is the supplements and equipment!
