Try Archery with Archery GB Big Weekend Event

If you have followed my blog or social media for a while you may have seen from time to time that we are rather into our Archery. Lewis being the absolute exception as he just loves his bow and is regularly seen up at the Archery field enjoying a good shoot.

He enjoys talking to his friends about his love for Archery and even got to introduce his friends to the sport for his 9th Birthday when we hosted an Archery Birthday Party.

But now its the turn of the Great British public to try their hand at Archery.

Want to give it a try?

Following on from the introduction of Archery GB Big Weekend 7 years ago, clubs across the United Kingdom are opening their doors and welcoming members of the public in to give archery a try. Events will be taking place over the weekend of May 17th to May 19th.

You won’t need any special equipment to try Archery for the first time, all that is recommended is you wear comfortable clothing, long sleeves and closed shoes (no sandals). Also for safety, long hair will need to be tied back and long/dangly earrings will need to be removed.

Simply check out the Archery GB Big Weekend webpage, take a look at the map to discover your local Archery Clubs location and plans to take part in the event.
