Blogger Recognition Award
Everyone loves receiving a bit of “blog love”, mostly the love comes in the form of receiving blog comments, maybe the occasional retweet on Twitter of a blog post or sometimes a special mention from someone you haven’t heard from in quite some time.
As most of you know I’ve been off the blogging scene for some time, and I returned in August from then I’ve received a lot of love and comments of “It’s wonderful to see you have returned”. Its made me feel very welcome.
But something I have received off 3 lovely bloggers recently has had a lovely feeling on my bones. I’ve received a Blogger Recognition Award from the lovely Hazel at Tea & Cake For The Soul, Maria from The Southerner Blogs and now the amazing Elaine at Early Retirement Rocks. I’m feeling very smug and humbled right now, can you tell?!
Hazel, Maria and Elaine have been lovely additions to my little collection of Favourite Blogs to Read. I came across them all during my time on the Blogtober Marathon. Their blogs are both lovely to read, inspiring and its clear to see their love for adventures and travel.
So continuing with what seems to be protocol, lets start with the rules of the nomination;

Give a Brief Story Of How Your Blog Began
ClearlyBex began way back in April 2013, Leah had not long celebrated her 1st Birthday and I’d made a new very close friend in Tina over at MotherGeek. She’d been blogging for some time prior to me meeting her and I was not only intrigued with her blog but also rather jealous of her being able to work from home and get these wonderful products to review for her children. After spending some time stalking her blog I decided to dip my toes into the water and within a couple of weeks I became hooked.
I soon got to know other local bloggers and was invited on local events to get to know more about blogging and the network. I was amazed!
From there I blogged for over 3 years, my blog going from strength to strength and we were just loving the journey as a family. I decided to take a break from Blogging in November of 2016 before making a return only in August.
Share Some Advice For New Bloggers
Do not get hung up on stats, they not only give you a massive headache but they will not help your confidence to grow your blog. Blog for you, blog what you want to blog about and share frequently on Social Media, the numbers, followers and stats will come.
To also give your stats a good boost, be pro-active with your commenting, go and find those blogs, be sure to comment on as many as your fingers and tap-tap away on. These will bring good traffic to your blog in return comments.
I thoroughly recommend using Twitter to build your blog awareness, use hashtags (but not too many, it looks tacky) and follow other bloggers. Interact regularly on Twitter to raise your following and visibility.
