Utmost Me Neuro Rest Natural Sleep Aid & Anxiety Relief : Review
Ive never been the best of sleeper, I have periods of insomnia, anxiety, panics and frustration at lack of being able to sleep. Its something I have had to deal with mostly since I left home, but I know it got drastically got worse since having children. I worry about them just like everyone else, I fluster if they have a disturbed night sleep (even if they don’t know about it) and I spend hours on end awake if they are unwell. If the kids are sleeping fine I find I can even disturb myself, I have night terrors or for some unknown reason I can wake at 2am and be wide awake until 4-5am then wake exhausted for the next day when my alarm goes off at 6.30am.
I feel at times that my over excessive use of my mobile phone can be to blame, I lie awake playing with my phone, mostly on social media. Having recently deciding to return to blogging I want to make sure my routine with my phone is under control. Whilst I cannot improve my social media usage much during the day I have wanted to make a change when it comes to the evening and night time.
Did you know…
Using your smart phone/tablet computer (or other similar devices) at night is a leading factor in the insomnia epidemic at the moment. The blue light produced from your gadgets triggers the production of Melatonin which is the hormone that makes you feel wakeful? Putting your devices away 45 minutes before bed will help your body get rid of the hormone before sleep.
So I have given myself a social media ban, at 9pm I turn off social media, close down my apps and put my mobile phone into “Do Not Disturb” mode. I then plug my phone in in my bedroom and return to the livingroom to watch my evening TV or read a book before going to bed. I have found by just completing this simple task I have relaxing a lot easier, I am feeling more tired and relaxed when I go to bed.
My nightly terrors and insomnia aren’t much better but I am a lot better at not picking up my phone during the night and letting myself (in time) relax again to go back to sleep easier.
To help continue with my improving nightly routing I have been trying out a Natural Sleep Aid product, Neuro Rest from Utmost Me. Specifically designed to help promote a better nights sleep whilst reducing tiredness and fatigue the following day. I feel I now need to combat my drifting off to sleep, waking up pattern in the night, and also my morning fatigue issue.
As you can see from the label this product contains natural plant based ingredients which is perfect for Vegans whilst also being GMO-Free. With this in mind I knew there was nothing to loose by trying this product to see if I can maintain my better sleep pattern and wake up feeling brighter and more alert in the morning.
Each capsule contains;
Sleep quality blend
- Magnesium 112 mg – Contribues to a reduction in tiredness and fatigue.
- Griffonia seed extract 90 mg (providing 5 HTP) – Gives a small boost for low Serotonin Levels, associated with depression, anxiety and sleep disorders.
- L-Tryptophan 70 mg – Another small boost to work alongside the 5-HTP.

Mental wellbeing blend

With my research done, being happy with the ingredients I began my nightly test.
- Take one capsule a night for the first 4 nights then increase to 2 capsules a night. – I presume this is to allow your body a couple of nights to adjust to the supplement before the dosage is increased.
- Do not exceed recommended dosage.
Nights 1-4 (One tablet per night)
Each night I took my tablet at 9.30, ready for jumping into bed at 10pm. Truth be told, I really didn’t notice a difference for the first 2 nights, I expected a sort of sedative effect which never arrived and I can’t say my sleeping pattern changed or a I felt more relaxed. Night 3 was a terrible night due to my son coming down with a cold so he was awake some of the night but night 4 I slept soundly, I didn’t wake during the night and I woke up feeling refreshed and alert in the morning.
At the time I wasn’t too sure if that was because of the disturbed sleep pattern on night 3 but I have since discovered for it to be otherwise.
Night 5 and continuing to today (currently day 9)
Having now upped my evening dose to 2 tablets per night I am finding I am feeling considerably more relaxed when I get into bed, I drift off to sleep easier and my sleep isn’t disturbed by terrors or periods of insomnia. I still wake up a couple of times during the night (for the bathroom etc) but I do NOT feel like I’ve been drugged or sedated in any way, I feel like I would any other night and I can usually jump back into bed and drift off again to sleep with ease.
In the mornings I am feeling more alert, my morning fatigue fog has lifted somewhat and I am able to breeze through the mornings school run routine with ease.
If you are looking for a way to help you sleep better I do recommend giving Neuro Rest a try, but like with any lifestyle supplement I do advise you also look into your personal lifestyle too. Because of my mobile phone routine, coupled with this product I do feel like I am getting more rest and feeling a lot more positive and better for it.
