Blog On MSI Winter 2016 – Goody Bag Goodies

Yesterday I blogged about my my recent visit to Blog On MSI Winter. Today I want to blog about the always epic goody bag which I came home with. Blog On Conferences are renowned for their amazing goody bags, and this is no lie!

LOOK!

blog-on-winter-4Mixed in this photo are goodies I won at the tombola table and also raffle. As per usual each year money is raised for a chosen charity, this year it was the turn of Team Cowley. Chris is the husband of Becky who blogs at Diary Of A Fat Bottomed Girl and at the end of 2015 Chris was given the absolutely terrible news that he had Cancer. A very rare Cancer with on average of 75 cases per year reported in the UK, this cancer has sadly resulted in Chris having to have his left leg amputated. You can find out more about Chris’s treatment and also help with their fundraising here. This year Blog On MSI raised over £1700 for Team Cowley which will help with rehabilitation and also future prosthetic’s when the time comes.

From the picture above there is one important item missing, this is the huge Lego set I won for my son Lewis. Sadly I couldn’t include the set in this photo as Lewis was around at the time and it was in hiding and has now been put away for Christmas. But here is a photo I found, courtesy of google.

Now I am going to do what I usually do and talk you through a few bits from the goody bag which has stood out to us.

I loved seeing some of the team from one of my favourite PR companies, Small Man Media, who like me just ADORE Stationery. A couple of goodies I got from them included colouring packs from Bridgestone for the kids, graphic pencil sets from Derwent, gorgeous new ball point pen from Sheaffer Pens, notepad from Nu Notebooks, Duo-tip pen from Maped Helix, Party invitations from Fabriano Boutique and the latest Autobiography from Andrew Flintoff, Second Innings (nominated in the recent Cross Sports Book Awards).

Next up we have Interplay with Bead Rings from the My Style Craft range. Aimed for children aged 8years plus its too advance for my daughter yet but she cant wait to help me create her some new jewellery very soon.

Missing from the conference this time was the team over at Swizzels, and we couldn’t half feel their missing presence. But they still delivered a lovely selection of sweets, which has kept Lewis very pleased. This time featuring their range of Halloween squashies and a tube of sweet treats which would make lovely stocking fillers for Christmas.

One item which really has kept Leah intrigued is this little bag of Simbrix, minute little blocks which slot together to make your child’s chosen design.

The lovely team over at Heart & Home delighted me by popping one of their Caramel Cupcake candles into my bag, it smells absolutely amazing. I really do need to try out more of their range.

Again Leah was delighted by the last 2 items from TsumTsum and their range of Disney collectable characters. Also this adorable Disney Princess Beach Towel from Character World of which now accompanies Leah to her weekly swimming lessons and she just treasures it.

Lastly we have some Festive Nail Wraps from Paladone of which I cannot wait to try out this Christmas. The Stigu To-Do list is the perfect addition to my desk accompanying my Stigu Planner wonderfully and the HexBug Nano V2 bug and tube have been warmly welcomed by Lewis my little HexBug fiend.

I want to say thank you to all the brands who donated products to the Blog On MSI Goody Bag, they were all fantastic and thank you for also supporting a fantastic event.

My last thank you’s have to go to Museum of Science and Industry Manchester who have welcomed us all to their venue year in year out now and also Laura Seaton who blogs at Tired Mummy Of Two and also coordinates this fantastic conference. Without the fantastic venue and even better host we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this great event year in and year out.

THANK YOU!
