CaseApp : Review & Giveaway
Everyone loves a new mobile phone, the freshness of a new device and new phone capabilities, I know I do anyway. Over the past 4 years I have been an android fan, enjoying the flexibility and how the phones ticked but I have always found that the camera capabilities held me back. So earlier in the summer when my husband upgraded his phone I took on his iPhone 5S and immediately knew I just had to come back to iPhone’s as the camera was just fantastic, even in low light situations. So earlier this month I was able to upgrade and instantly knew I was going to have to get an iPhone 6S and I wasn’t disappointed whatsoever. But with a new phone comes the need for a new protective case, this is where CaseApp came to my rescue just in the nick of time too! Both myself and my husband were allowed to order ourselves cases for our new phones.
At CaseApp you can make your own custom iPhone case/laptop skin and cases for other brands of mobile phones.
I knew we both needed a really protective case, as the iPhones are well known for getting twisted if sat on or put under pressure (my husbands is already twisted at 2 months old!), I am also known to drop phones from a height and smashing them so I need the best protection from a case as possible. Also with my children and their endless PokemonGo expeditions we both need cases which can withstand the pressures of our children. Luckily since our last review CaseApp have designed the most perfect case, a tough case.
This case is made from 2 layers, the first internal layer is a black silicone lining which acts as a shock absorber and the outer layer is the hard layer which can then be customised to your own chosen design.
For my review I was given the option to choose from a stock cases which are a range of pre-designed cases or have our cases customised for our phones. Being keen on photography I decided to order a customised cases and after a recent outing we had the most perfect pictures to use. Designing the cases were simple by simply choosing my model of phone, following the steps for uploading my image and adding extra designs such as test and clipart. As you can see from the image above I have added my ClearlyBex text at the bottom and also a “don’t forget to wear your smile” ClipArt at the top right. Sadly the text for the ClipArt can’t be chosen in a different colour but I liked the motto so much I have made done with it.
There are 2 types of finishes to the cases, matte and glossy. For our review I have ordered my case in the glossy finish and my husbands in the matte finish. For my husbands case he has opted for a custom design case using a picture of our children but no ClipArt or text.
Delivery of our new cases arrived about 8 days after ordering, which I found to be fairly swift considering they are custom made and I was not disappointed.
As you can see from the images above, the case really does have a wonderful finish to it with either a glossy coat or matte coat. The protective silicone inner case really does hold my phone well and the outer case gives my phone a lovely finish. The side buttons for the power and volume are covered by the silicone case but are still really easy to use still whilst the silence control switch, headphone jack, power jack and speakers are still uncovered for ease of access and sound output. It is also worth noting that the camera and flash are also uncovered. The case does not affect the camera capture capability and no reflection occurs from the case onto the lens when the flash is in use resulting in the crisp photos that iPhones are great for.
The protective case does add a little bit more bulk to a standard case but it really does feel so well protected and stronger compared to having either no case or a thin case in place. Our phones now feel secure, strong, protected and look fantastic!
Currently the tough cases are only available for iPhones, priced at £22 each (£19 for the iPhone 7 tough case) which I really do find good value for money considering the protection it provides against a repair cost and you can also design your case to your own taste.
