Enjoying A Brew With We Are Tea : Review
fI love a good cup of tea, being a northern girl it just HAS to be a strong cup, two sugars with the tiniest drop of milk – a good ol’ “Builders Brew”. In the past 5 years or so I’d say my love for tea grew, as a teen/young adult I never really drank it but since the birth of Leah not a day goes by really when I haven’t enjoyed a cuppa. Now with the help of We Are Tea I am now trying out a new range of teas and loose tea.
We Are Tea is a London based, independent company specialising in ethically sourced, whole-leaf teas from Artisan producers. Set up in 2012 by husband and wife team, Spence and Suzy, the run a multi-award winning business and make some great products.
Whole Leaf Tea Bags
For our review we received a pretty impressive range of products to try out, some sample packs of the English Breakfast Black Tea and Gunpowder Supreme Green Tea and also a full packet of the Assam Breakfast Black Tea. I was pretty impressed with the tea from all of these ranges, certainly my favourite was the English Breakfast. I loved how the tea bags are in a unique netted bag, they are strong and do not look dusty like my original brand of tea. Because the teas are made from whole-leaf they make for an wonderfully clean and crisp cuppa. In the range of Whole Leaf Bags there are 7 flavours to choose priced at £4.15 for a pack of 15 tea bags.
We Are Tea are also really hot on their range of Loose Teas, with a fantastic range of 17 flavours to choose from you really can get stuck in. Also with their bottom dispensing Simplicitea Infuser it makes brewing up an absolute doddle. Simply choose your loose tea, pop a spoonful into the infuser and fill with boiled water. Leave to brew for a couple of minutes and place the infuser on top of your cup. Here the infuser will drain the tea into your cup. Such an easy easy way to enjoy an afternoon tea and becuase the teas are whole-leaf there are no little grains seeping through the filter and into your cup.
The loose teas range in price from £5.45 to £14.36 and the Simplicitea Infuser is priced at £18.00.
The taste and quality of the teas have been recognised in 46 Great Taste Awards and are available to buy from Tesco and Ocado. You can also find these products are also served up in some of the best bars and cafes across the UK as well as Virgin Active Gyms Nationwide.
You can also purchase your products direct from We Are Tea and if you spend over £15 at the moment you can claim free delivery simply by quoting “FREEDELIVERY” at the checkout.
