Orchard Toys Jungle Snakes and Ladders : Review
It’s no secret, my kids really enjoy playing Orchard Toy games.
Its no secret, I enjoy playing Orchard Toy games with my kids.
I also enjoy the quality of the games, the ethics behind Orchard Toys and their prices.
Earlier this year when I met with Orchard Toys at Toyfair 2016 the team were very eager to tell me about new products in the pipeline for the upcoming year. One of their new ranges was the Mini Games range of which we have been sent Jungle Snakes and Ladders to review.
The motive behind their mini games range is that they are all small versions of board games, all packed in small boxes (yes, smaller than their original ranges). Perfect for packing in backpacks for days out, suitcases for holidays or even playing in a vehicle on a long journey. These miniature games are perfect for alleviating boredom at the most perfect of timing.
We were delighted to receive Jungle Snakes and Ladders as it is one of the few board games neither of my children have ever played but it has certainly been fun reliving a favourite board game from my child hood with my children. The same rules apply, you take it in turned to roll the dice, moving your counter to the number dictated on the dice. If you stop at the bottom of the ladder you climb up it or if you stop at the head of a snake you “slither down the snake”. With the added Jungle theme of the game makes this board bright and vibrant for young children to enjoy.
Who do you think who won our first game?!
Keeping up with the concept behind Orchard Toys, all the mini games range including the packaging is made from 100% recycled board. Each game still keeps in line with the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stages which is perfect as kids are learning whilst playing.
The Jungle Snakes and Ladders mini game is priced at £4.99 and with 5 other games in this range they are affordable and absolutely perfect for travelling around with.
