Orchard Toys Activity & Colouring Books : Review
Before the recent Half Term holiday I received a lovely selection of products from Orchard Toys of which part of our delivery was these fabulous Sticker Activity Books, perfect as a light entertainment in the house or perfect for when out on journey’s.
There are currently 6 of these books to the range, with age recommendations ranging from 3years to 5 years and all focusing on key learning skills ready for school. From the range we received Make Believe, ABC & Things To Do. These books are perfect for Lewis & Leah.
Each book contains 24 pages of fun activities, places to put stickers and lots of colouring in to be done perfect for keeping little ones happy for hours on end!
Leah’s Make Believe Book focuses around using imagination from superhero’s, to fairies, mermaids and wizards and with a double sheet of stickers in the centre of the book your child can really be kept busy finding the places for their stickers to live whilst also colouring in their favourite characters. This book is ideal for children of a late toddler age/early pre school where they are learning pen control for colouring whilst also focusing on concentrating on where the stickers belong.
The ABC Book focuses a lot more on writing skills, helping your child recognise and form letters ready for when they start school. It contains every letter of the alphabet on a separate page (except for U&V and Y&Z which are sharing pages) whilst also providing the extra sheet of stickers so that your child can decorate their pages and then move onto colouring too. Ideal for children of a preschool age where they are beginning their road of education.
Lastly we have the Things To Do Book, a book more advanced filled with fun puzzles, from completing a transport crossword to forming a pond creature by dot-to-dot or even spotting the difference under the sea! Again this book also has a fab double page of stickers for use around the book and also fab creatures and items to colour in. This book is recommended for children aged 5+ when they are a little more competent with their reading and writing skills to solve puzzles and read instructions.
Lewis and Leah couldn’t wait to get to work, Leah being more torn towards stickers couldn’t wait to get decorating but Lewis really enjoying being challenged got to work with his puzzles. A great selection of books which will keep the kids entertained for a long time to come yet!
As mentioned earlier each book is aimed at a difference age category and bases itself around the skills your child should be aware of or learning whilst at school perfectly in line with the early years foundation skills. Each book is priced at £3.99 and are extremely handy for use at home or even in the car on journeys.
