After an amazing 2015 season for all at Drayton Manor Park the teams are now getting final preparations under way to reopen the doors to Thomas Land this February Half Term ahead of the rest of the park opening in March!
Since Christmas there hasn’t been a single day where Leah hasn’t requested to return to Thomas Land, she beyond enjoys her adventures here and knowing that the park will open again in less that a fortnight means I know exactly what to do with the kids during the half term holidays!
Please read on below for more information regarding the parks opening arrangements for the Half Term holidays and 2016 season.
Make memories at Drayton Manor Theme Park this February half term
Families looking for an unforgettable day out this February half term need look no further, as Drayton Manor is gearing up to welcome its visitors for a bumper week – with selected rides, laughter, real life characters and memories – all rolled into a day to remember!
From Saturday 13th February to Sunday 21st February, the award winning family owned attraction will open its gates to the young and young at heart looking for a day of excitement at Europe’s only Thomas Land TM. With it being the first break of the year, it’s the perfect opportunity to treat the kids (and yourself) to an enjoyable day out!
But that’s not all; families can also get up close and personal with their favourite characters on two very special Thomas & FriendsTM Weekends. Taking place on 27th and 28th February and the 5th and 6th March, these family friendly weekends promise a great day out in Thomas Land for everyone ahead of the whole park opening for the main season on 12th March 2016.
After undergoing a huge £2.5million expansion, Thomas Land is now bigger and better than ever, with plenty to keep the little ones entertained. Come face-to-face with new characters like Flynn the Fire Engine, who is equipped with on-board hoses so riders can help to put any fires out, and Captain’s Sea Adventure, which introduces not one, but six rotating Captain lifeboat carriages, all complete with their own cannons to squirt water.
Visitors can also enjoy Toby’s Tram Express that launched last year alongside a new Sodor Airport Terminal which boasts a top level balcony for VIP ‘travellers’ with not-to-be-missed views of Thomas Land.
Animal lovers looking to take a break from the excitement of Thomas Land can pay a visit to the 15-acre zoo, which is home to over 100 species of animals from around the world. Say hello to a different Thomas in the form of Drayton Manor Zoo’s very own gibbon, meet the mischievous meerkat mob and spot the stunning Sumatran Tigers.
And for hungry mouths, the nearby Grill Inn is open daily, and is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some tasty dishes at the end of the day.
Those looking to extend their day trip into a short break can take advantage of the 150 bedroom 4-star Drayton Manor Hotel, which features 15 Thomas & Friends themed rooms, executive rooms and presidential suites sure to give you a comfortable night’s sleep.
Visitors can enjoy all the fun and comfort at a fraction of the cost by taking advantage of Drayton Manor’s great Stay and Play deals available throughout the year.
New this season, guests can make fantastic savings with the launch of the Stay, Play and Save 20% package. Both Stay and Play packages include a one-night stay at the Drayton Manor Hotel with a full English breakfast, free Wi-Fi and car parking on site, plus one ticket per person into Drayton Manor Theme Park.*
