Orchard Toys Shopping List : Review & Giveaway
Leah is thoroughly enjoying her adventures playing board games with Orchard Toys, they make simple but addictive games to enjoy with your tots whilst enhancing their personal, social and observation skills. Games you can all enjoy as a family.
For our next review we have received Shopping List, a game which has been around with Orchard Toys for many years and is their overall best selling game. But it has now had a revamp making it look and feel a bit more 21st Century and its is brilliant!
Contents of this game include;
- 2 Shopping Trolleys
- 2 Shopping Baskets
- 4 Shopping Lists
- 32 Shopping Item Cards
Designed for children aged 3+ and 2-4 players. The aim of this game is still the same as it always has been, to collect the items on your shopping list to be the winner.
With this new revamp the shopping lists have been updated, there are now 4 different styles of lists each list has picture symbols on it to help children become familiar with the words of their items required as well as the symbols.
To set up the game, each player chooses their playing board and a basket/trolley, the item cards are placed in the middle of the playing area faced down. The youngest player starts first choosing an item card, if the item is on their shopping list they can put it in their basket/trolley, if not the item can be placed back in the pack faced down again for the next players go. This game is all about observation and memorising the locations of your items which need collecting.
The player to fill their basket/trolley first is the winner. Leah and I have enjoyed many games (we are talking hundreds of games) and it very easy to understand why this game is one of Orchard Toys best selling games!
This game promotes various educational skills for your child, the main one being observational skills. Other skills include matching, memory, social and development skills.
What I love about Orchard Toys Games is that all games, jigsaws and packaging are made from 100% recycled materials. They are all educational games, of a pocket money value, are all brightly coloured and are very appealing to young children.
This game is recommended for children aged 3+ and is available to purchase in most high street stores or direct from Orchard Toys with an RRP of £7.50.
Now for the fun part, the lovely people at Orchard Toys are allowing me to run a giveaway where one lucky reader can win Shopping List.
