Magical Christmas

Please read on for more information of this years Magical Christmas Event happening at Drayton Manor Theme Park this November/December.

There’s ‘snow’ doubt about it, it’s going to be a Magical Christmas at Drayton Manor Theme Park!

Father Christmas is coming to town… to Drayton Manor Theme Park to be exact, as the park gears up for its annual Magical Christmas extravaganza.

The much loved family attraction, near Tamworth, Staffordshire, is counting down to the official launch of its spectacular Magical Christmas event on Saturday 21st November.

Visitors will be transported into a winter wonderland when they enter the park, as Europe’s only Thomas Land™ has been draped in Christmas cheer with decorations, festive music and fairy lights and it even promises to delight visitors young and young-at-heart with a snow shower three times a day, thanks to a special machine.

Following Thomas Land’s £2.5 million expansion in the spring, this year’s Magical Christmas promises to be bigger and better than ever, with over 25 rides and attractions to enjoy, such as new arrivals Flynn the Fire Engine, who is equipped with on-board hoses so riders can help to put any fires out, and Captain’s Sea Adventure, which introduces not one, but six rotating Captain lifeboat carriages, all complete with their own cannons to squirt water.

The exciting new Thomas Land, which is now 40% bigger, also features a brand new two-storey Sodor Airport complex, with balconies offering stunning views across the park, a café and VIP Thomas and Friends themed suites that are available for private hire.

Visitors can also ride the Ben 10: Ultimate Mission Coaster*, and visit the animals in the 15-acre Zoo where resident reindeer, including newest arrival baby Phoenix, will be preparing to assist Father Christmas with his worldwide present delivery on Christmas Eve! The Zoo is also home to over 100 other species of animal from across the globe.

There is also a spectacular outdoor ice rink (£2 charge for 15 minutes) and a 30 foot lightshow Christmas tree set to festive music that will play throughout the day. Not only that but the Apocalypse tower drop is going to be turned into a 54 metre high Christmas tree, complete with star on top!

The festivities don’t stop there, as Christmas is also coming to the sensational 4D Cinema, where visitors can enjoy a stunning 15-minute movie experience from The Polar Express, a truly enchanting adventure for all and sure to get even the biggest scrooge into the Christmas spirit.

But the main event for children is to pay a visit to the enchanted Castle of Dreams, where they will be greeted by playful elves before being taken to see Father Christmas. Due to its huge popularity last year, this year there will be an extra two grottos to cater to all the good girls and boys.

Each child who visits the Castle of Dreams will also receive a free gift and a golden ticket to return for the new season in 2016**.

And at the end of each day, there will be a dazzling magical fireworks display for the whole family to enjoy before leaving the park full of festive cheer and counting down to the big day itself.

If your children are a little too young or old to meet Father Christmas, you can buy park tickets only, without the Father Christmas visit, with prices at just £15 for 12 years and over, and 4 – 11 at £10.

If you want to extend your stay, then the onsite four-star Drayton Manor Hotel, which features 15 Thomas & Friends™ themed rooms, has a selection of packages available over the Christmas period. For more information, please visit,

Drayton’s Magical Christmas will be open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays*** from Saturday 21st November to Monday 14th December, then every day from Thursday 17th December to Wednesday 23rd December and Sunday 27th December to Thursday 31st December.
