Vosene Kids Squeaky Clean Head Lice Repellent Range : Review

Rating: [rating]

One thing I have always dreaded as a mother, is my kids getting head lice, those little bugs really do put the shivers up my spine. One fear is that they get passed from child to child and a most common ground for them to occur is either school or nursery and now that both my kids are of a nursery/school age I really want to ensure they are protected from unwanted visitors.

I am now going to introduce a range of products which I have been well acquainted with for the past 2 years at least, from Vosene Kids and their Squeaky Clean range with Head Lice Repellent.

Vosene Kits Lice Repellent

We are very lucky, neither of my children have yet been affected by head lice *touches wood*. I recall having head lice as a child and it was an awful experience.

Head lice are unsightly, can make for very sore, itchy scalps and cause distress to the person affected and surrounding families. Also the treatments for destroying head lice can also be rather hit and miss, miss and egg and they can reproduce and cause reinfection in no time, plus I recall the treatments selling awful and needing to be left in for hours on end. For these reasons I am really all up for prevention rather than waiting for the lice to arrive before treating them.

Now to the products;

First up we have the Squeaky Clean 3-in-1 Shampoo, available in 400ml pump bottle, 250ml standard bottle (photographed below) and also a very hand 100ml travel bottle. In addition to the standard 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioning treatment Vosene Kids have an added feature which is the lice repellent formula containing natural tea tree oil and lemon Eucalyptus. Use it as you would normal shampoo products to provide your child with a natural defence against lice. Also this product smells amazingly clean and fresh, you really can pick up the scents of the natural oils.

The second product we have been sent is again another product which I have been using since I came across the Vosene Kids range. The Squeaky Clean Conditioning Defence Spray, does not contain the Lemon Eucalptus unlike the Shampoo but it does now contain Citronella oil instead alongside the Tea tree oil. This change in product means your child not only still has the protection from head lice but the citronella is a fantastic conditioning agent which gives your child’s hair a tangle free comb, shine finish and great, fresh smelling hair. To use simply spary into your child wet hair after washing and comb through. It can also be used between washes as a detangling spray. We were supplied with 2 sized products again, 150ml and a teeny tiny 50ml bottle perfect for trips away although I keep the small bottle in Leah’s swimming bag to use straight after her weekly lessons.

Last but not least we had a added little surprise thrown in, a Tangle Teezer, perfect for using alongside the Conditioning Defence Spray and removing the tangles from Leah’s hair.

Vosene Kits Lice Repellent 3

I really cannot rate the products highly enough which were provided to us from Vosene Kids, I am fairly confident with continued use my children will remain head lice free for a long time to come. It must work to have gotten 2 years down the line with no appearance of them ever!

Both products from the Vosene Kids range are available to buy on your high street or local supermarket, the 3-in-1 Shampoo (250ml) has an RRP of £2.49 whilst the Conditioning Spray (150ml) has an RRP of £3.29.

    Ooh, I really like the look of those. Nits are a real problem at our school – I always dread my lot getting them. #TriedTested

    These sound a lot nicer than the headlice products I had to have when I was younger, I still shudder at the thought. I’m sure the smell was so bad it made my eyes water!
