Schleich Horses and Accessories : Review

Rating: [rating]

With the summer holidays arrival we are enjoying more outings, mainly dog walking in our local fields. Here Leah gets to see resident horses, feeding them grass and giving them a lovely stroke. Leah has always had a soft spot for horses, I may have to consider riding lessons for her when she’s a bit older.

In the meantime the lovely people at Schleich are keeping Leah entertained with a small selection of their horse range with 3 ponies and accessories.

Schleich PoniesFor our review we received the following horses

Upon closer examination of the horses I was really impressed with the attention to detail, the horses manes look like individual strands, their bodies brushed, their hooves are grooved and even the Knabstrupper is wearing shoes! I was also rather surprised to find the horses have detailed genital areas, which Leah thoroughly enjoyed giving me a lesson of Boy and Girl horses!

Schleich Ponies 1The horses are also really sturdy, incredibly well made and are sure they will live up to the test of time without fading or damage.

Our accessories included the following;

Schleich Ponies 2The additional accessories are just stunning. Again there is no shortage to detail, the Blanket and Headstall were designed for ponies but as we were not provided with a pony our Tennessee Walker Stallion has fully enjoyed showing it off for you. Applying the accessories on the horses can be a fiddly business, especially the bridle and saddle but once in place they don’t move and are perfect for playing, I anticipate having to help Leah apply and remove these accessories whilst she learns for herself. We love how our horses also came with a treat set, perfect for post ride treats and a grooming set to keep our horses looking tiptop.

All these products have an age recommendation of 3+ years which is perfect for Leah as I know she is sensible enough to keep small pieces away from her mouth and giving her a perfect chance to use her imagination for play.

Leah is very pleased with her new horses and is looking forward to our next trip to the toy shop as she wants to get stables for them.

**This is not a sponsored post, we were provided with a small collection of the Horses range from Schleich to test and review. All words and opinions are our own.
