MorphCostume Kids Block Head Costume : Review
As kids grow up they love to explore the world around them and imagine themselves being their favourite characters, whether that be through imaginative play with their toy characters or actually dressing up and physically being their favourite character.
As Lewis has grown up he’s never expressed an interest in dressing up, seeing people in costume would scare him and during his time at school he would never take part in dressing up days for World Book Day, much preferring to go to school in his uniform – we called this his “school boy costume”.
That was until late last year when his sister became obsessed with dressing up as a princess, Lewis decided for the first time ever to give it a try with a Spider-Man costume from our local supermarket. Since then he has tried it more and more and with the help of MorphCostumes he now has a 2nd outfit to dress up as his favourite Lego Character with this great MorphCostume Kids Block Head Costume.
Get your child to put down their bricks for a while and Morph into their favourite Lego Man with this great costume. Contents of this set include, blue trousers which are elasticated around the waist, red foam “block” top with a head slot big enough for your child to put on/take off with ease, infamous foam yellow round head and a selection of patches for customising your characters face.
The foam head is velcro’d around the back to ensure this stays in place and holes have been cut into the fabric for your child to see through. Your child can customise their face with the patches included, 2 sets are pre cut whilst you are also given a square patch to cut out your own face design.
Lewis couldn’t wait to get dressed up after using the simple smile face patches to design his Block Face and he was made up with the end result. I ordered this set in a Medium (aged 8-10/120-135cm) for Lewis, although he aged 5 he is very tall (128cm) for his age. In places this costume is a little too big for Lewis, but I am very confident he will grow into it soon and no doubt love wearing it at his next dressing up day at school.
Straight out of the packet and this costume can look a little deformed but with more wear and encouragement you can get the outfit to form the roundness for the head whilst also the block for the body. This does take a little time and the end result can be fantastic.
The Kids Block Head Costume is priced at £18.99 and available to buy direct online in a range of sizes for children aged 6 years to 12 years (100cm-150cm tall) and also available in adult sizes so you can all be a Block Head family!
