I am getting very jealous of all the wonderful Christmas wardrobes all your little kids have, I really wish I’d put more effort into getting my kids wardrobe sorted this Christmas. It’s getting too late now so I’ve let it pass and promise to make more effort next year. My favourite last week was from Bubba Blue and Me… I am very jealous of the Reindeer Jumper from Next, I wanted to get this for Lewis but have all sold out – gutted!!!
At the weekend I hosted a Christmas Party for friends and their children, this gave me a fab opportunity for Lewis and Leah to trial run their “Christmas” wardrobe which I’d raked together the day before. Here it is;
Lewis is wearing his favourite Carrot Jeans from Mothercare which we bought in the September sales whilst wearing his new Reindeer shirt. I bought this shirt for £5 in Tesco, it was on offer which I was rather baffled by as we are in the height of the season for buying Christmas clothes but I didn’t argue and snapped it up.
I also bought Lewis a jumper which was not pictured.
I really struggled to shop for Lewis’s clothes due to the non existence of novelty tops for older boys, in the end I had to buy this (as this was ALL I could find across 8 shops!) Boys Christmas Fairisle Jumper from Matalan (£12). Don’t get me wrong, the jumper is lovely, Lewis likes it but what our problem is is the sizing. Matalan’s sizing for older kids is really to pot, this jumper was only available in either 6-7 or 8-9 of which Lewis is neither size. 6-7 would have been too small so we ended up with 8-9 which just drowns him, Matalan really need to start stocking age 7-8 clothing. Oh well at least we’ll get 2 Christmases out of it!
Leah’s wearing her Red Check Kilt and Tights set from Next (£20), the red t-shirt from the Pointelle 3 pack (£15), Blue shoes which I bought from Primark in the summer (£8) and a Sparkle Shrug (£6) from George.
Before I leave you I would like to point out there will be no #TT_Thursday next week, my reason for that… I just don’t want to work. My kids will be home and I want to spend the week with them doing all manner of Christmas activities and in the evenings i’ll be preparing for the big day. I’d like to with you all a very Merry Christmas and we shall see you all again on the 1st January!
So now its your turn;
