Braun Series 5 5040s Wet/Dry Shaver : Review
Recently whilst Christmas Shopping I have noticed ClearlyDaddy eyeing up owning a new shaver, I’ve never bought him a shaver before as he has really coarse facial hair and he’d always said that “shavers just won’t cut it”. The last time he tried a shaver was over 10 years ago so obviously things change and products improve so he’s become more aware of them again.
I decided to contact Braun to find out if they had any products which could possibly work on ClearlyDaddy’s facial hair and was advised of a lot of products which would suit his needs. We were then offered to review for them and provided with this;
- Shaver Guard
- Charger/Power Cable
- Cleaning Brush
- Lubrication Oil
- Travel Pouch
Pivoting/Suspension head – Providing an all round close shave, allowing the shaver head to follow the contours of your face. The head of the shaver can be effortlessly removed for cleaning and can be cleaned under running water, which is advised after each shave.
Extra power – To provide a fuller and faster shave, allowing the shaver to also work on more dense facial hair by having a higher cutting speed.
Precision trimmer – On the rear of the shaver there is an additional trimmer, which can be used when required. To provide perfect edges to moustaches and sideburns.
Wet/Dry feature – This shaver can be used in our out of the shower and also used along side your usual shaving foam or gel.
Travel lock – This feature is demonstrated in the linked video.
Efficient charge – A full charge on this product takes only an hour and will provide up to 45 mintutes of charging time, a quick charge (5mins) should provide enough battery life for a very quick shave.
Battery indicator – This model does not provide a battery level indicator, only the solid green battery light (indicated above). When the battery is getting low the green indicator will start to flash red but should provide enough life to complete your shave and when you turn the shaver off it should emit a beeping sound to make you aware.
All in all ClearlyDaddy has now been using this shaver for a week and has already ditched his razor in favour of this. The Braun Shaver provides a really close shave, efficiently and effectively without nips or cuts.
This Braun shaver has an average sale price of about £100 can be purchased in most high street stores or online.
Please feel free to watch my demonstration video and our after thoughts of using this product.
