Moxie Girlz Magic Hair Stamp Designer : Review
Recently we have been testing out the Moxie Girlz Magic Hair Stamp Designer, Monet is a great new Torso doll for young children to test out their hair designing whilst also giving the extra fun of stamping and glittering.
The Moxie Girlz are a range of beauty/fashionable dolls aimed at children 5+, which is a great age when young girls become more aware of their style.
- Torso doll
- Additional part for the base of torso
- Hair Brush
- 5 circular rubber bands
- Heart rubber band
- Flower rubber band
- Hair glitter gel
- 4 foam rubber stamps (heart, flower, cloud and butterfly)
- Stamp handle
Monet’s hair is long enough to pretty much manage any style, and given the added extras of hair accessories the possibilities are pretty much endless. The two pink strands which my torso features change colour with the use of the rubber stamps, really cold water (preferably with added ice cubes) as the freezing temperature causes the strands to change colour. Also the hair glitter adds that extra sparkle.
To remove the glitter simply wash your dolls hair with water, no soap is required. To remove the stamp simply rub your dolls hair or as I prefer blow water air to encourage the hair to warm up and dry again.
With the age rating of the torso being 5+ Leah and I have had a good play with Monet, but as she is only aged 2 she quickly got bored. I am very certain that in years to come Leah will show more interest in Monet and use her more. In the meantime I am practising my braids on the torso as I’ve never been able to master them in hope that one day I can braid Leah’s hair.
During the use of the Moxie Girlz Magic Hair Stamp Designer I have experienced a couple of issues with Monet’s hair. The poor lass really does have a head of thick hair making it really difficult to manage. There is no definite length to her hair and no defined layers, poor Monet appears to have had a bad trip to the salon recently. Also her front hair line is really far forward making her hair fall over her face way too much, if I left her alone for any length of time her hair would fall right forward and cover her face.
With an RRP of £29.99 I think it is good value for a young child’s fashionable doll.
