Emmi Sweet Dreams Cradle : Review & Giveaway

Leah’s now at that age where caring for her dollies is really high on her priority, she loves carrying them round, cooking their dinners in the her kitchen, bathing them, taking them for walks and putting them all to bed. Unfortunately she doesn’t like dressing them, and much prefers them undressed… but this is another matter!

Recently I was contacted by Tesco and given the opportunity to review a product from their Emmi range, of which we chose to review the Sweet Dreams Cradle. We choose this product as Leah’s dolls pushchair has been doubling up at the bed so I thought it was about time that baby had a upgrade.

EmmiThe structure of the cradle is made from plastic which is easy to put together, simply insert the sides of the cradle into one of the white ends, slide in the mattress base then attach the other end of the cradle. Then attach the mobile, insert the mattress, pillow and blanket and its good to go!

Emmi 1

The design of the cradle is lovely, the mobile consists of 4 shapes of which Leah can identify, a moon, teddy bear, duck and flower (or sun, depending how she is feeling). The outer sides of the cradle are delicately designed with X’s/flowers and the ends of the cradle are curved which allow for a soothing rocking motion for your child’s doll.

Then the overall structure of the cradle is a bit of a let down, its not really solid for kids to play with as the slightest jolt means the cradle falls apart which has proven rather frustrating for Leah. Although over the past few days she has learnt to be more softer with it so it hasn’t fallen apart quite as much.

Emmi 2The Emmi Sweet Dreams Cradle has an overall measurement of H28xW48xD9cm which is big enough for most brand of dolls, as we don’t have an Emmi doll we tested it out with our Baby Born which fits perfectly. The cradle is priced at £15 and comes with an age recommendation of 3-5 years.
