CaseApp Laptop Skin : Review & Giveaway

For Christmas last year ClearlyDaddy surprised me with a new laptop, which was faster and more able to meet my social media/blogging demands. My previous laptop was 6 years old and quite frankly… on its last legs. I am loving my new laptop and now I am able to spruce it up a bit with the help of CaseApp.

CaseApp make and supply personalised cases or skins for a range of products from phones, to tablet computers and also various laptops. Seeing as my phone is pretty much on its last legs and due an upgrade soon I decided to decorate my laptop with a new skin.

You can either choose to make your own skin or choose from a premade design from a range available to use from the CaseApp webpage. The whole system is very smooth and easy to use.

Case App 3For my own skin I opted to use the Upload Image option using a layout I’d created earlier. The skin was delivered in a cardboard strengthened envelope to prevent from bends and breaks.

I was amazed at the print quality as I chose the background image of my blog for the background of the skin which could have been grainy when printed but this was crystal clear. Even using my trademark family and font really was clear. The detailing is brilliant.

The skins are printed on a thin sheet which is the custom made sticker. Then the sticker is laminated using a matte skin to protect the print from wear and tear. Removal is also simple and leaves no residue on your device.

Initially I struggled to get the skin straight on my laptop but thankfully due to its quality I was able to remove the skin and reapply it without loosing stickiness. The best I could get the skin did leave a slight overhang over all edges which was slightly annoying as the corners don’t tend to stay stuck in place. Even a week later I am still smoothing over the corners and edges in hope that one day that will stay put but in the meantime the main part of the skin shows no sign on removal and I am very happy with the result.

Case App 2Choosing a skin it definitely the best way of decorating any device without the bulk of a case and I am very pleased with my laptops new skin.

The skin for a laptop is priced at £22 which I feel is very competitive and the skin arrived only days later so there is no massive wait! Overall brilliance!

Now for the fun part…

How would you like to win a custom case/skin for your technology gadget for yourself?

He’s an artist, so I know he’d really like one with his own work on.
