The Gro Company Gro Anywhere Blind : Review

Its no secret that I adore the products from The Gro Company, they are practical and what every family should have. So when they agreed for us to test out the Gro Anywhere Blind I was very relieved.

As we are now having lighter nights my children appear to want to rise and set with the sun, thus making for rather early mornings and later nights. I had been the owner of 2 grouchy and tired children up until the delivery of these.

Gro Blind 1The Gro Anywhere Blind are a portable blackout blind, simply unpack, stick to a window using the suction cups and once finished with take them down, fold up and pack away. The come delivered in a really nifty storage/carry bag, perfect for travelling.

The blinds are one size, measuring 198 x 130cm but are fully adjustable to fit smaller windows by using the Velcro patches in between the suction cups.

We were very fortunate to have been sent 2 of these blinds so that I could test them out on both Lewis & Leah’s bedroom windows.

Gro Blind 2As you can probably tell there is rather a significant window size difference between both rooms, Lewis’s, on the right is massive and rectangular) whilst Leah’s, on the left is a lot smaller and square. Using the Velcro patches I was able to make the size of the blind smaller and adjustable to fit both windows. We are also very fond of the moons and stars pattern on the material.

Made from a premium black out material you can probably tell from the photo’s that no light makes if through the material. Although the blinds don’t make a 100% seal to the edge of the windows, this really doesn’t matter too much as there is a vast improvement to the rooms light, enough to help settle any child.

These blinds have been an absolute lifesaver, my children are settling better at night and staying asleep later in the morning. We are also going away on holiday in a week and will be making sure that I take one of these away to use in our hotel room to help the children settle again.

The Gro Anywhere Blinds have an RRP of £29.99 which can be purchased from most high street nursery retailers or direct online.

**This is not a sponsored post, I was provided with 2 Gro Anywhere Blinds to test and review. All words and opinions are my own.

These look clever but I am really trying to resist the girls getting used to sleeping in all dark rooms, which is my concern with them. I do like the idea of having them for travel though, if your child is used to blackout blinds.

I’d intended for us to be the same Zoe, but with the kids going to bed in dark rooms in winter and then light in summer that’s when it posed the problem. I’ve had to hit 2nd resort! x

I think they are a really good idea, especially for holidays and stuff where you really don’t know what the curtains or blinds are going to be like x

We have used our Gro Anywhere blind so much over the last year – on holiday, at grandparents houses etc. It’s such a great, adaptable piece of kit to have. Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested

We have one of these, I wasn’t sure if it was helping much at first, but after taking it down to clean the window, I noticed a real difference, so it’s now back up! #triedtested

We have two of these, bought for our holiday last year as we didn’t know how thick the curtains would be and Monkey needs darkness to sleep well. We have used them so many times, at people’s houses, in hotels and guest houses, and absolutely love them. We even used one in our room on holiday this year as it was so bright in our room from about 5am, meant we got to sleep in until 7! 😉 Great product!! xx #triedtested

These are such a good idea. When we last went away, we found ourselves trying to put towels & sheets across the windows in an effort to block the light out – not great!
