Skribbies : Review

On Wednesday 16th April my children and I were invited to a bloggers event for Skribbies shoes, located in the Pop Up Shop in Birmingham.

We were really excited to be invited along to this event, Skribbies are shoes which can be drawn on, wiped off and then drawn on over and over again. A product which has proven immensely popular with my son aged 4 and daughter aged 2.

Currently Skribbies are only available as high top trainers, sized C10-3 priced at £39.99 they come with a packet of stickers, 6 wipe-able pens and a funky wristband which can also be used to wipe the pen off so that you can start again. The are also available in 3 different colours, all are white with either blue, pink/red or black/yellow.

Rumour has it that there will be a fab now addition to the Skribbies collection, along the lines of regular trainers something of which Lewis has already asked if he can have. I shall definitely be making a purchase of these when they are available.

Here are my children thoroughly enjoying their doodling session and also Lewis showing his new shoes off.

Unfortunately with Skribbies starting at a size of C10, Leah still has some growing to do to get in these shoes so I have packed them away safely until she is old enough. In the meantime Lewis has made FULL use of his new shoes, loves wearing them and showing them off. Most of all, not only do they look comfy, Lewis reports they are the comfiest shoes he’s ever worn! Well done Skribbies!!

Exciting News

Just before the weekend I received some exciting news from Jennifer Duthie, founder of this UK based company. She was informed that Skribbies has been short-listed and is now a semi-finalist in the Virgin Media Pitch to Rich Competition – a nationwide search to find the UK’s best start up. If Jennifer can beat the other semi-finalists in her category through public votes then she will get to go to Sir Richard Branson’s house and pitch for funding and mentoring for her business.

Like me, It would be amazing if you could vote for Jennifer and her company, she only has until Wednesday the 23rd of April when the public vote will close.

To Vote all you need to do is select her from the list of finalists and click submit http://www.virginmediapioneers.com/2014/04/vote-for-pitch-to-rich-2014-competition-finalists/ Its as easy as that, no name providing and no forms to complete, just tick the box for Skribbies and submit. It takes literally 2 seconds!

**This is not a sponsored post, we attended a Skribbies Event given some shoes to draw on, wear, test and review. All words and opinions are my own.
