Baker Days Cake By Post : Review

On the 7th April it will be blog’s 1st birthday, to help celebrate the lovely people at Baker Days have sent me a Cake By Post.

This is a brilliant gift for anyone you wish to surprise, complete with 2 candles, 3 balloons, a party horn and card. Inside the tin labelled “Just For You” is the cake.

Very simple to remove from the tin by following the instructions on the tab in the cake time. Simply just pull the tab upwards which will lift the side of the cake for you to get hold of and remove from its tin. Then you just have to remove its sealed bag and eat!

For my cake I chose to have a Flower Photo Upload Cake, embossed with my blog logo with a sponge filling. When I first looked at it I was utterly amazed, this cake looks lovely! The pattern and layout of my cake is divine, and with the flowers and butterflies around the edge really looks super special.

I will be completely honest, I really did not want to cut into this cake. I didn’t want to spoil it whatsoever. But with huge regret I had to do this!

I tested the first piece of this cake, it was so soft and didn’t seem overly sugary either, perfect! Lewis was then quick to dig into a piece upon his return from school, usually he keeps away from cakes as he doesn’t like the cream and jam fillings. But this cake was an immediate hit for him as there is no filling, and a tiny bit of cream just ensuring the cake sticks to the base. The cake we then had leftover we stored away, back in the tin to keep fresh for ClearlyDaddy’s return home from work.

Only the smallest of the cakes from Baker Days are available to order for postal delivery and can be cut into 3-4 pieces.

These cakes are perfect and ideal for a gesture to a friend or family as a surprise. Priced at £14.99 these are great to show someone you care. Available in a huge range of designs, 4 other sizes (not available to cake-by-post service though) and a lovely range of fillings – you can choose from Sponge Cake, Chocolate Chip Sponge Cake (made with Belgian Chocolate), Fruit Cake, Gluten Wheat Free Cake & Dairy Free. Baker Days also offer a next working day delivery if you order before 2pm.

**This is not a sponsored post, I was provided with a Cake-By-Post to test, taste and review. All words and opinions are my own.

The cake looked lovely with the design on the top and sides, I bet you were pleased with it. I would have been interested in the Gluten free cake if it was deliverable.
