GroLight by The Gro Company – Review & Giveaway

Ever since Leah was a baby we have always had to leave a light on to help her sleep and settle during the night. Whether that is a lamp in her room or landing light there is always a light on!

Recently we have been testing out a new product from The Gro Company, available March 2014.

The GroLight is a fabulous new gadget which fits into a bayonet fitting holder either in the light fitting in the ceiling or a lamp on a bedside table.

It is very simple to install, simply remove your existing bulb and lampshade, fit the GroLight fitting and then replace the shade and bulb.

For purposes of this review I am using the GroLight without the lampshade in place – that and the fact I want to get Leah an new lampshade!

It has a great double click setting of use;

1st flick of the switch gives you the LED “night light” feature creating a soft soothing glow of light across your child’s room. There is also a dimmer dial on the side of the GroLight so that you can adjust the amount of light it emits.

2nd flick turns the GroLight off.

3rd flick replaces the light from the GroLight to the normal bulb for general use.

4th flick turns the light off – and then you start again.

With the GroLight in place night time checks of your child is easy, the light can be set dim enough so that the glow will not disturb your child and can also be altered to create enough glow for night feeds and nappy changes. Making this an ideal product for every household to have.

I believe the GroLight to be a really good product for almost ever stage of life, either for use with a baby developing to a child up or for the elderly as a safety light in the home. Or even if you have a disabled child who is rather unsettled in the night, the light will provide comfort for any child and is also a very safe way of providing that additional security as the light will not be reachable.

The GroLight now become a permanent replacement for Leah’s lamp and landing light use and will also be saving us a decent amount of money.

I would like to show you the below infographic produced by The GroCompany showing you the savings you could make if you used a conventional dimmer switch light in your childs room. The dimmer is something I installed in my son’s room when he was born and I know a few other people who also have the same in their child’s rooms believing they are the most cost efficient way.

This is a good cost effective way of lighting your childs room and with an RRP of Ā£17.99, an average annual saving of Ā£16 this really is a fantastic product to own.

Now for the fun part….

The wonderful people at The Gro Company are allowing me to run a giveaway for one lucky reader to win a GroLight prior to its release! How brilliant is that?!

To enter, please follow the instructions carefully, as incorrect entries will result in a forfeit from the competition and please make yourself familiar with my Terms & Conditions.

GOOD LUCK!!
